4. Maintains and cleans the web press. This involves cleaning all setoff. The press operator will perform any necessary repairs and be proactive with preventative maintenance.

10. Threads the paper through the press in the event of a web break. Brings the press back up to speed and quickly attains acceptable copies.
11. Replenishes consummables. This includes pins, nip rollers, cutting block in the folder as well as ink and water as they are needed.
12. Performs a makeready on the web press for new jobs. Minimizes the amount of downtime by having as much ready as possible when it comes time to change jobs on the press.
